Large Family garden
WHITELANDS: The house had recently been purchased and the new owners wanted to create a generous living space close to the kitchen and living areas. They also wanted to be able to introduce shrubs, climbers and trees to this lower part of the garden.
The key objective of the design was to transform the hill at the rear of the property into a level substantial garden featuring retaining wall and trellis, hardwood deck and bed surrounds. Over 50 tons of chalky soil was excavated to achieve a large flat outdoor living area.
